Introducing carare: a non-profit initiative in Basel that nurtures art with purpose

We are thrilled to introduce carare — a non-profit initiative in Basel dedicated to supporting emerging artists and visionary cultural projects through exhibitions, residencies, and collaborative programs.

Rooted in care and guided by future-thinking, carare operates at the intersection of artistic experimentation, inclusivity, and social relevance. It offers structural and curatorial support to artists from all backgrounds while building bridges between artistic creation and public engagement.

A mission grounded in art and community

carare is not just an organization — it is a commitment to the promotion, mediation, and preservation of contemporary art. By creating accessible platforms for exhibitions, artist exchange, and public dialogue, carare aims to embed art meaningfully within society. Whether through hosting site-specific shows or representing artistic legacies, carare works to ensure that art remains a living, breathing force that both reflects and shapes our times.

The initiative’s reach is both local and international, with a focus on autonomous, inclusive, and collaborative modes of production. Its vision aligns closely with the values we share at ELEVEN TEN STUDIO: to cultivate art with purpose, community, and integrity.

• CHF 50.00 – Annual membership

• CHF 30.00 – Discounted annual membership for students, artists, and cultural workers

• CHF 200.00 or more – Solidarity membership (for those who care deeply and can contribute a little extra)
