Warsaw Gallery Weekend
19.09 - 21.09.2025
SAD GENERATION WITH HAPPY PICTURES
Matthias Amsler, Luca Harlacher, Viviane Herzog, Duncan Passmore
A pre-war tenement house in the Wtochy district. On a daily basis Sortownia Vintage, filled with clothes from the West. During Warsaw Gallery Weekend a space for art. Instead of white walls and festival glamour, works by four Swiss artists confront Polish everyday reality and the question: what does it mean to be a millennial in 2025?
Four solo exhibitions in Basel, four different perspectives on the world. In Warsaw, for the first time, they come together as a shared generational narrative. Duncan Passmore, Matthias Amsler, Luca Harlacher, and Viviane Herzog present works about intimacy and corporeality, burnout, fragmented identity, the need for relationships, and the transience of emotions.
