OUT OF OFFICE
Matthias Amsler
07.02 - 01.03.2025
Out of Office unravels the absurdities of bureaucratic systems, exposing the quiet violence hidden in everyday objects, forms, and gestures. Matthias navigates the tension between function and futility, where humor becomes both critique and survival strategy. From immobilized flies to absurdly elongated office furniture, each work reflects on power, control, and the inescapable loops of bureaucracy. The exhibition challenges notions of neutrality, economic value, and institutional indifference—inviting viewers to confront not just the systems around them, but the ones they carry within. Through wit and symbolic subversion, Out of Office transforms bureaucracy’s monotony into a space of resistance.
